Experience a magical winter celebration on the snow-covered waterfront of Hakodate during the Hakodate Christmas Fantasy 2025. With a dazzling giant floating Christmas tree, nightly fireworks, and seasonal food and drink offerings, this annual event is one of Hokkaido’s most enchanting holiday experiences.

Main Attractions

Giant Floating Christmas Tree
Admire a breathtaking Christmas tree floating on the bay, illuminated twice daily.
Daily Lighting Times:

• 16:30–17:45
• 18:00–22:00
  Note: On November 30, lights start from 18:00 only

Fireworks Display
Each evening at 18:00, enjoy a spectacular fireworks show synchronized with the second tree lighting.
Duration: Approximately 5 minutes
Note: Subject to weather and safety conditions

Premium Red Tree
A striking red Christmas tree will light up for 15 minutes at three designated times every night.

Soup Bar
Warm up with hearty Hokkaido-style soup served in the chilly winter air.
