Located in Miyazu Bay along the Sea of Japan, Amanohashidate is a 3.6 km-long sandbar lined with pine trees and flanked by white sand beaches. From the Monjuzan Observatory, the view of the sandbar resembles a “flying dragon”—an iconic scene known as the “Flying Dragon View.”

Ine Funaya – The Venice of Japan

Experience the unique waterfront village of Ine, where traditional wooden boathouses (funaya) line the bay. You’ll have the option to take a scenic boat tour (at your own expense) for an up-close view of the coast and to interact with local wildlife, including seagulls.

Important Note: There are many eagles in the Ine area. If you encounter one, stop feeding seagulls immediately and put away any food to avoid injury.

Cycling Tour

Bicycles are available free of charge for those who want to explore the village lanes and boathouses more intimately and at their own pace.

Good to Know

• Tour Duration: Due to Japanese law, vehicle use is limited to 10 hours per day. The itinerary may be adjusted based on traffic, weather, or group pace.
• Pre-Trip Notice: You will receive an email between 8:00 PM and 9:00 PM the evening before the tour with your guide’s contact info and meeting details. Please check your spam folder as well. If multiple emails are received, refer to the latest one.
• Tour Boat Safety: Be cautious of eagles in the Ine area. If spotted, stop feeding birds and secure food immediately to avoid being pecked.
• Ticket Guidance: For those who wish to enjoy the Amanohashidate Cable Car or Ine Bay Cruise, our guide can assist you in purchasing the appropriate tickets. Please avoid purchasing tickets for the Kasamatsu Park Cable Car or Amanohashidate Cruise, as these are in a different area and may disrupt the itinerary.
• Seating: Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. While we try to accommodate requests, final arrangements depend on the guide and availability on the day.
• Delays: This tour covers a long distance. Traffic or weather may impact the itinerary. Please do not plan any other activities afterward, as we are not responsible for delays.
• Multilingual Groups: The tour may include guests speaking different languages. Multilingual guides are available.
• Punctuality: Please arrive at the meeting point on time. Guests who miss the departure will not receive a refund.
• Force Majeure: In case of adverse weather or unforeseen circumstances, attractions or activities may be canceled, rescheduled, or altered for safety.
• Luggage Policy: One piece of luggage per person is allowed. Please inform us in advance; otherwise, the guide may refuse boarding without refund.
• No Midway Departures: Leaving the group midway will be treated as forfeiting the rest of the tour, with no refund and at your own risk.
• Seasonal Experiences: Events like cherry blossoms or festivals are subject to weather and timing. No refunds are provided if seasonal highlights do not meet expectations.
