Product Description
What is Sushi?
Sushi is one of Japan’s most iconic and beloved dishes, known for its elegant simplicity and emphasis on fresh, high-quality ingredients. At its core, sushi is vinegared rice (called sushi-meshi or shari) paired with a wide variety of toppings or fillings, including raw or cooked seafood, vegetables, and even tropical fruits. Common styles include nigiri (hand-pressed sushi), gunkan (boat-shaped sushi with soft toppings), and maki (rolled sushi).
Why is Sushi So Popular?
Sushi is more than just food—it’s a culinary art form. Its popularity stems from its delicate flavors, healthy ingredients, and the cultural experience it offers. With global appreciation for Japanese cuisine continuing to grow, sushi has become a staple in fine dining and home kitchens alike. Yet, few people get the chance to learn how it’s made from real sushi chefs—until now.
