This one-day tour from Fukuoka brings you the best of northern Kyushu—featuring local seafood, historical landmarks, and breathtaking coastal and mountain views.
Stop 1:
November–February – Karato Market
A paradise for seafood lovers, Karato Market in Shimonoseki offers freshly caught seafood, sashimi, sushi, and a wide range of local snacks.
March–October – Mojiko Retro Town
Wander through nostalgic streets lined with architecture from the Meiji and early Showa eras. Visit the railway memorial and enjoy the retro charm.
Stop 2:
Motonosumi Shrine
Famous for its 123 red torii gates facing the Sea of Japan, this shrine is known as one of Japan’s most scenic “hidden gems.”
- Walk through the iconic torii tunnel along the cliffs
- Try the “coin toss prayer” into the highest torii gate
- Capture panoramic views with a wide-angle lens
- Climb up for a scenic view of the coastline
Stop 3:
November–February – Mt. Sarakura Ropeway
Ride the cable car to enjoy one of Japan’s most spectacular night views, known as the “billion stars nightscape.”

March–October – Kokura Castle

- Force Majeure: Tours affected by weather, traffic, or unforeseen events will be adjusted or cancelled. Refunds are given only for the portion of the tour not completed.
- Clothing: Wear comfortable shoes and bring warm clothes depending on the season.

- Under 3 years old occupying a seat must pay full price
- Under 2 years old without a seat can join for free (must be noted at booking)
