Full Description

Your immersive journey through Osaka begins at 9:00 AM from Shin-Osaka Station or 9:25 AM from JR Osaka Station. First stop: the magnificent Osaka Castle, a symbol of the city since 1597. Visit the castle museum to discover its rich and turbulent history—from war and destruction to modern restoration in 1995.

Next, travel by train to Shitennoji Temple, Japan’s oldest official Buddhist temple, founded in the 6th century. Explore its spiritual legacy and learn how Buddhism journeyed from India to China and finally to Japan, influencing the country’s culture over centuries.

Then it’s time to experience Osaka’s modern pulse with a visit to Kuromon Ichiba Market, one of the city’s most famous food markets. Stroll through the bustling 580-meter-long arcade filled with fresh seafood, produce, snacks, and kitchenware. Enjoy free time for lunch—don’t miss the chance to try local specialties like sushi, takoyaki, and grilled seafood.

After lunch, you’ll visit a nearby hidden shrine before diving into the electric atmosphere of Dotonbori. With its vibrant signs, lively crowds, and historic significance as Osaka’s entertainment hub, it’s a must-see district. Here, you’ll enjoy a Ukiyo-e art experience, creating your own traditional woodblock print guided by an expert—a unique souvenir and cultural insight into Edo-period Japan.

Your final stop is the stylish Shinsaibashi Shopping Street, where traditional charm and modern fashion converge. Snap photos at the famous Glico billboard and enjoy free time to browse local and international shops.

The tour concludes with return transport to Osaka or Shin-Osaka Station, or feel free to continue exploring the city center on your own.
