Full Description
This is the only tour at Fushimi Inari that takes you off the paved paths and into the tranquil heart of the forest. With a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll explore the hidden side of Fushimi Inari Shrine—far from the tourist crowds.
Your journey begins at Tofukuji Station, leading through a quiet residential neighborhood and passing small local shrines. You’ll soon enter the forest, where a secret bamboo grove awaits. The peaceful setting is ideal for capturing stunning photos and appreciating nature in silence.
Climb toward the summit of Mount Inari, exploring hidden trails dotted with altars and spiritual sites. After reaching the peak, descend through another forest trail, passing more tucked-away shrines and a second bamboo grove.
The final leg of the tour connects to Fushimi Inari’s famous vermilion torii gate trail—perfect for that iconic photo. Your tour concludes at the base of the shrine, where you can explore local food stalls and continue your Kyoto adventure.
