Experience a true taste of Japan in this afternoon izakaya cooking class set in a cozy, traditional Kyoto home. Izakaya—Japanese-style pubs—are known for their variety of flavorful small plates, and in this class, you’ll get to recreate some of the favorites that locals love.
The class is split into two fun and interactive parts:
- Cook 2–3 delicious dishes with your instructor and enjoy them fresh.
- Return to the kitchen to prepare another set of 2–3 dishes, then enjoy a second mini-meal.
As in many izakaya, chatting with your chef while cooking and eating is encouraged. You’ll learn not just recipes, but the cultural background behind each dish, and get personal tips and stories from your instructor.
