Maizuru Seafood Market
The largest seafood market on the Sea of Japan side, offering a wide variety of fresh fish, crabs, shellfish, and shrimp at competitive prices. Enjoy sushi and seafood rice bowls prepared on site. The market is a favorite for the buy-and-eat style seafood barbecue and sashimi.
Amanohashidate
Renowned as one of Japan’s “Three Scenic Views,” this 3.6 km sandbar is lined with around 8,000 pine trees. Ride the cable car or monorail to the observation deck for panoramic views. Visit Chienji Temple, famous for its fan-shaped lucky charms, stroll along the beach and pine forest, and explore Amanohashidate Shrine.
Ine Fishing Village
Known as the “Venice of Japan,” Ine Bay features over 230 traditional funaya (boat houses) stretching along the coast for five kilometers.
