Faqs:

How is the 18-150mm lens suitable for all-around travel?

The 18-150mm lens covers the most common focal lengths needed for photography. The 18mm end (29mm equivalent) is wide enough for scenery and architecture, while the 150mm end (240mm equivalent) provides enough zoom for portraits and reaching distant subjects, making it highly versatile for travel.

Is this camera set complicated for a beginner photographer?

Not at all. The EOS R50 includes intuitive touch controls and a dedicated “auto” mode with helpful visual guides. It handles the technical details, like subject tracking and exposure, allowing beginners to focus on framing and composition.

Does the camera have image stabilization?

The EOS R50 body itself does not have in-body stabilization, but the included RF-S18-150mm lens features its own powerful Optical Image Stabilization (IS). This system compensates for camera shake, ensuring your photos and videos remain sharp, especially when shooting handheld or at the telephoto end.

Can the camera track moving subjects like children or pets?

Yes, the camera utilizes Canon’s advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II system with EOS iTR AF X. It can recognize and track subjects such as people, animals (including dogs, cats, and birds), and vehicles across the frame with impressive speed and accuracy.

Is this a good set for shooting quick videos for social media?

The R50 is excellent for video, offering 4K/30p (oversampled from 6K) and high frame rate Full HD for slow-motion. The flippable Vari-angle screen and lightweight design make it perfect for vlogging, and the STM lens motor ensures quiet autofocus during recording.
