The Story: Chihiro Yonekura
Chihiro Yonekura found her place in the music industry in the mid-1990s becoming one of the most important voices in anime soundtrack music. I remember the excitement when Chihiro Yonekura first appeared on the scene in 1996 with the opening theme song “Arashi no Naka de Kagayaiter”, for the well‑known Mobile Suit Gundam OVA series, Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team. That song quickly became a classic among mecha anime fans. Opened the door to a long successful career that has been closely link with major pop‑culture franchises.
For the 30 years Yonekura has made a huge list of songs. Yonekura has sung opening and ending themes for shows like Rave Master (“Butterfly Kiss”) Fairy Tail (“Yakusoku no Hi”) and Soul Hunter (Houshin Engi) (“WILL”). Yonekura does more than television animation. Yonekura has also made music for video games, movies and full studio albums. People love Yonekura for a voice deep feelings and great live singing.
