Begin your journey with a visit to a local supermarket where your English-speaking guide will show you how locals select ingredients for everyday meals. You’ll pick up fresh produce and learn about the staples of Japanese home cooking.

Back at the studio, you’ll dive into the preparation of three iconic dishes:

  • Niku-sui – A savory beef and dashi broth soup, popular among Osaka locals
  • Okonomiyaki – Osaka’s famous savory pancake, with endless combinations of ingredients
  • Gyoza (Yaki-gyoza) – Delicious pan-fried dumplings that are fun to fold and cook together
