Full Description

This guided tour takes you on a journey through Nagoya’s past and present, from samurai-era architecture to cutting-edge manufacturing.

Begin your day at 10:00 AM, meeting your guide at the Tourist Information Center inside JR Nagoya Station. From there, you’ll take the subway to Nagoya Castle, one of Japan’s most historic fortresses.

Spend approximately 2 hours exploring the impressive grounds, where you’ll see the famous Kinshachi (golden tiger-headed dolphins) adorning the roof and the beautifully restored Hommaru Palace, once the residence of feudal lords.

Afterward, you’ll have about 1 hour of free time to explore nearby areas or enjoy lunch at your own pace. (Lunch is not included in the tour price.)

Following the castle visit, take a taxi to the Toyota Commemorative Museum of Industry and Technology, where you’ll spend approximately 2 hours learning about Japan’s industrial growth and Toyota’s origins as a textile machinery company. See live demonstrations, learn about Monozukuri (Japanese craftsmanship), and explore interactive exhibits on modern robotics and automotive technology.

The tour concludes with a taxi ride back to Nagoya JR Station, ending around 4:00 PM.

This tour is ideal for history buffs, culture seekers, and anyone curious about Japan’s transition from samurai society to global industrial powerhouse.
