Full Description

Start the tour at Osaka Castle, a striking symbol of Japan’s unification during the samurai era. Explore the scenic grounds and learn about the feudal history and battles that shaped the country.

Next, take the train to Shinsaibashi-suji, a 600-meter covered shopping street filled with over 400 years of retail tradition. Make your way to Ebisu Bridge, a popular local meeting spot near the famous Glico Man sign — a must-have Osaka photo opportunity.

Walk through the lively Dotonbori area, famed for its dazzling neon signs, riverside vibe, and an endless variety of restaurants and shops. Escape the hustle briefly at Hozenji Yokocho, a preserved alleyway of cobblestone paths and lanterns. Here you’ll visit the 17th-century Hozenji Temple, where people splash water on the moss-covered statue for good luck.

Continue to Kuromon Ichiba Market, often called “Osaka’s Kitchen,” where you’ll see (and taste) some of the city’s freshest seafood and produce.

You’ll then visit Doguyasuji, a unique street where local chefs buy high-end kitchenware and food preparation tools, and finally arrive at Shinsekai, a retro entertainment district developed before WWII, home to Tsutenkaku Tower and a nostalgic blend of old-school Osaka.
