Full Description

Looking for a Kyoto experience that avoids tourist crowds and lets you connect with local life? This 3–4 hour e-bike tour is designed just for that. Guided by Asuka, a Kyoto local and graduate of a UK university, you’ll explore calm paths and beautiful corners of the city that most visitors miss.

Start your adventure at a friendly bike rental shop located 6 minutes by train or 20 minutes on foot from Kyoto Station. After a short ride along the Kamogawa River—where you can hop across stepping stones—you’ll reach Ginkaku-ji Temple. Enjoy free time to browse local shops, sip matcha lattes, or snack on Japanese crepes.

Then, cycle the peaceful Philosopher’s Path to Nanzen-ji Temple and admire its impressive Zen architecture. Finally, arrive at the spacious grounds of Heian Shrine to take in Kyoto’s spiritual atmosphere before returning to the bike shop.

This tour is all about meaningful travel, sustainability, and creating new friendships. Asuka, your guide, is passionate about social and environmental issues and believes cycling is one of the best ways to enjoy a place while protecting the planet.

Rainy day? No problem — opt for rain gear or switch to a walking tour. Your guide is flexible and focused on ensuring you have a memorable time.
