Full Description

While Japan’s horse racing scene draws millions of fans across the country, it remains a hidden gem for international travelers. This tour opens the gates to that world, giving you a unique chance to experience a traditional Japanese racetrack like a true local.

Meet your guide at Shibuya Station’s iconic Hachiko Square, where you’ll be greeted with a warm welcome and introduced to the day’s itinerary. From there, take a short train ride (about 40 minutes) to one of Tokyo’s renowned racecourses—Tokyo, Nakayama, Oi, or Kawasaki—depending on the date.

Upon arrival, your English-speaking guide will walk you through the basics of the sport, from understanding the racing forms to placing your first bet. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned gambler, you’ll receive personal support and insights tailored to your comfort level.

As the race day unfolds, dive into a variety of food and drink options: from local cocktails and sake to snacks like crispy karaage, grilled yakitori, or seasonal specialties. All the while, you’ll be soaking in the electric energy of the crowd—cheering, celebrating, and maybe even picking a winner.

This isn’t a tourist show. It’s a fully immersive day spent alongside locals, gaining firsthand knowledge of a cultural experience that few visitors get to witness. You’ll leave with new skills, memorable stories, and maybe even a lucky win or two.

Note: Please bring cash (in Japanese yen) for placing bets.
