Kyoto may be famous for its temples, but its nightlife is just as enchanting—if you know where to go. That’s where this bar-hopping tour comes in. Led by a knowledgeable local guide, you’ll step beyond the tourist zones and into the energetic neighborhoods of Kawaramachi and Kiyamachi.
The tour begins in front of the Disney Store at Shijo-Kawaramachi, a central landmark in Kyoto. After a brief introduction and a stroll through some atmospheric alleyways and shrines, you’ll head into the lively drinking scene.
With your guide’s insider access, you’ll visit 3 unique izakayas and bars, some of which do not accept walk-in tourists. Expect a mix of cozy local joints, stylish hidden bars, and buzzing hangouts. Try traditional sake, local craft beers, or Kyoto-style cocktails—paired with delicious bites, naturally.
The evening wraps up at a secret bar only locals know, where you’re free to stay longer and enjoy the Kyoto night your way.
