Newly opened in 2025, this private calligraphy experience is designed for individuals or groups seeking a calm and creative cultural activity in the heart of Osaka. Located just minutes from Shinsaibashi Station, it’s the perfect way to slow down during your trip and connect with Japanese tradition.

What to Expect:

Select Your Theme: Choose your favorite kanji or theme you’d like to write. Not sure what to choose? The instructor can help suggest words that reflect your personality or intention.
Learn the Basics: You’ll receive a hands-on introduction to calligraphy tools, brush technique, and posture.
Create Your Art: After practicing, select colored paper for your final piece, write your kanji, sign it with your name in Japanese, and add your seal to complete the work.
Children’s Option: For children ages 4–5, a free water calligraphy activity is available using brushes and reusable paper (no ink required).

Every session is led by a friendly and knowledgeable instructor who ensures a stress-free and enjoyable environment. You’re welcome to take photos throughout the experience.

Your instructor will meet you in front of the main entrance 5 minutes before the session — look for the staff wearing kimonos.
