Full Description

Leave the bustle of Tokyo behind and embark on a curated day trip that combines cultural discovery, scenic beauty, and nostalgic charm.

Your journey begins with a comfortable bus ride to Kamakura, once the political center of medieval Japan. The first stop is Kōtoku-in Temple, home to the Great Buddha (Daibutsu) — a massive bronze statue that stands over 11 meters tall, offering a powerful presence and tranquil atmosphere.

Next, hop aboard the Enoden train, one of Japan’s most beloved local railways. Enjoy seaside views as you travel toward Kamakura High School, made famous by the iconic anime “Slam Dunk.” Fans can take photos at the instantly recognizable crossing near the school.

Continue on to Enoshima Island, where lush hills, serene shrines, rocky caves, and panoramic ocean views await. This picturesque island offers both spiritual discovery and seaside adventure.

Later, visit Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine, Kamakura’s most important Shinto shrine, nestled in a beautiful forest setting. Enjoy time for reflection and photos at this historic site.

Finally, stroll through Komachi-dori, a bustling shopping street filled with craft stores, street snacks, and traditional sweets. It’s the perfect way to end your journey before returning to Tokyo.
