First Stop: Hida Takayama
Immerse yourself in this charming town surrounded by Japan’s Northern Alps. Famous for its preserved Edo-period architecture, it’s a wonderful place to stroll narrow streets, enjoy traditional wooden houses, and sample Hida beef, a local delicacy renowned for its high marbling and rich flavor.
Second Stop: Miyagawa Morning Market

Third Stop: Shirakawa-go Gassho Village
Step into a living postcard. This remote village features dozens of gassho-zukuri houses — traditional farmhouses with steeply pitched thatched roofs designed to withstand heavy snowfall. Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1995, Shirakawa-go offers a window into traditional Japanese mountain life. Important Notes (Before You Travel)
- Trip Information Email:
We will send an email between 20:00–21:00 the evening before your tour with final details, including the guide’s contact and vehicle info. Please check your inbox (and spam folder) carefully. In peak seasons, the email may be delayed. - Group Requests & Vehicle Use:
If you are forming your own group, we will try to accommodate. Note that Japanese law limits vehicle operation to 10 hours/day. If this is exceeded, an extra charge of ¥5,000–¥10,000/hour may apply. - Weather Contingencies:
In case of severe weather or other force majeure events, parts of the tour (including observatory visits or performances) may be altered, delayed, or canceled for safety. We will communicate any changes clearly and in advance where possible. - Tour Adjustments:
The tour schedule and order of attractions may be adjusted on the day depending on traffic, weather, or other conditions. Any such adjustments will be made in consultation with guests when possible. - Luggage Policy:
Each participant may bring one item of luggage free of charge. Please mention it under “Special Needs” when booking. Unannounced luggage brought on the day may be refused due to space or safety concerns. - Vehicle Assignment:
Vehicles are assigned based on total number of guests. Specific vehicle types cannot be guaranteed. - Group Participation Requirement:
Guests must stay with the group for the full duration of the tour. Early departures or mid-tour exits are not allowed and will result in forfeiture of the remaining itinerary without refund.
