Faqs:

Is the D7500 a good choice for shooting high-quality videos during my trip?

Yes, the D7500 is excellent for video. It supports 4K UHD recording at 30p and includes professional features like a headphone output and external microphone input, ensuring high-resolution video and quality sound capture for your travel experiences.

How useful is the tilting touch screen for general travel photography?

The tilting touch screen is highly useful for framing shots from challenging low or high angles, making it easier to capture crowds, unique architecture, or low-to-the-ground subjects. The touch function also speeds up focusing in Live View and navigating settings.

Can I use this camera to capture fast-moving action like trains or sports?

Absolutely. With high-speed continuous shooting at approximately 8 frames per second and a powerful 51-point autofocus system that tracks subjects reliably, the D7500 is perfectly equipped to capture sharp images of any fast-moving subject you encounter in Japan.

What benefit does the 18-140mm lens provide for a tourist?

The 18-140mm focal range is highly versatile, allowing you to shoot everything from broad interior shots (18mm) to magnified, distant objects (140mm). This reduces the need to carry and change lenses, simplifying your gear setup while maximizing shooting opportunities.

How does the flicker reduction function help with indoor photography?

The D7500’s flicker reduction function detects the frequency of flickering light sources (like fluorescent lights common in indoor Japanese locations) and times the camera’s shot to the light source’s peak brightness. This minimizes exposure variations and colour shifts in sequences of images.
