Full Description

This Wahealth cooking class lets you experience Japanese food culture by preparing Okonomiyaki and Takoyaki from scratch. You’ll take part in every step of the process—from measuring and cutting the ingredients to grilling and flipping the dishes yourself.

Unlike typical demonstration-heavy classes, this one is hands-on, giving you full control over the cooking process. The instructor offers helpful tips and minimal demonstrations so you can build your confidence and skills.

Okonomiyaki, a savory pancake, dates back to the Taisho era (1912–1926), while Takoyaki became popular during the Showa era (1926–1989). Today, both are staples in Japanese households, especially in the Kansai region.

Before cooking, you’ll be provided with an apron and all the necessary tools. Afterward, enjoy the food you’ve made in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

This class is also designed to be inclusive. If you have food allergies, or dietary requirements (gluten-free, vegan, halal, etc.), please inform the organizers in advance so they can make the necessary ingredient substitutions.

Wahealth Cooking Class Features

Learn authentic Japanese cooking techniques. This school also teaches locals, so even Japanese participants come to learn real, science-backed cooking methods. Instead of relying on intuition, you’ll learn the “why” behind every step for reproducible, tasty results—even if you’re a beginner.
