Full Description

This immersive Kendo experience begins with a brief introduction to the history and core principles of the martial art, including the spirit of Bushido (the way of the warrior) and Reiho (etiquette and respect in combat). You’ll then change into traditional attire: a Dogi and Hakama, and put on full Kendo armor, including the Men (mask), Kote (gloves), Do (chest protector), and Tare (hip protector).

You’ll receive professional instruction on how to move, hold your Shinai, and strike using proper Kendo form. The training session culminates in a practice match where you’ll be paired with another participant to test your skills in a friendly bout.

After the match, take memorable photos in full armor. Participants will also receive a free hand towel as a keepsake of their samurai journey.

Note: For children aged 3–5, the main focus will be on changing into the outfit and photo-taking, due to the physical difficulty of Kendo practice.
