Your training will take place at Arai Jutaku, a nationally registered tangible cultural property in Izumisano City. Built in 1932, this elegant Japanese wooden residence features beautifully preserved architecture and a serene traditional garden—offering the perfect setting to experience the spirit and legacy of the samurai.

During the Iaido lesson, you will:

Learn the basics of drawing and cutting with a katana using a practice sword
Train in proper posture, footwork, and kata (forms)
Discover how to maintain the correct maai (distance) from an opponent
Wear full traditional training attire to immerse yourself fully in the samurai spirit
