Contact Jasumo Now →The genesis of September JAM lies in the deep-rooted community spirit and artistic resilience of Fukushima Prefecture. Historically, “Kaze to Rock Imoni-kai” began as a unique fusion of a traditional autumn imoni (taro root soup) gathering and a high-energy rock festival. Organized by renowned Fukushima-native creative director Michihiko Yanai, the festival built its reputation on intimacy, where world-class rock musicians perform mere meters from the audience, sharing local cuisine and camaraderie.
Parallel to this, “Ohara☆Break” established itself as a bohemian, multi-disciplinary retreat on the shores of Lake Inawashiro. Focused on creating a relaxed atmosphere where acoustic sessions, poetry, theatrical acts, and visual installations blend effortlessly with nature, Ohara☆Break offers a reflective contrast to the traditional summer music marathon.
For 2026, these two distinct forces join hands to present “September JAM (ARTS / Kaze to Rock Imoni-kai / Ohara☆Break ’26 Autumn – Imoni-kai -)”. The event expands beyond a standard weekend concert into a six-week visual and performing arts retreat held across Inawashiro Town. Featuring a staggering roster of talent—ranging from rock legends like Kiyoshiro Imawano, Tamio Okuda, and Kenichi Asai to visual artist Yoshitomo Nara, literary figure Kotaro Isaka, and iconic manga creator Osamu Tezuka—September JAM serves as a comprehensive showcase of Japanese contemporary creativity.
A distinctive highlights of the event is its official souvenir apparel: a premium reversible sukajan (souvenir jacket) crafted specifically for the occasion. Featuring a Khaki/Beige palette on the Ohara side and a Pink/Black execution on the Kaze to Rock side, the garment symbolizes the dual nature of this grand regional collaboration.
The September JAM is a chance for people from other countries to see what a real Japanese festival is like. This is not what you usually see when you visit the cities. The festival is in Inawashiro. It is really pretty in the autumn. You can listen to music on the beach watch rock bands play at the ski resort and see art exhibits around the area. The September JAM is a chance to learn about the local way of life try the food and see some really good music and art in a beautiful part of the Japanese countryside. The September JAM has a lot to offer, like music and good food and it is all, in a really nice place.

Navigating primary ticketing in Japan as an overseas visitor presents significant hurdles:
Every ticket sourced by Jasumo is fully authenticated as genuine and safely delivered directly to your accommodation in Japan via domestic express courier or post. A standard service fee applies for our procurement, administrative, and delivery operations, which will be detailed when you submit your enquiry.
The baseline ARTS viewing pass grants entry to the regional visual arts, film, and theater exhibits across Inawashiro Town during the validity window. However, special live musical performances—such as Kaze to Rock Imoni-kai or Ohara☆Break—require specific event tier additions or separate concert tickets.
The exclusive reversible Sukajan jacket passes are distributed either via pre-arranged domestic shipping to Japanese residential addresses or through dedicated on-site collection points in Inawashiro during the event period, depending on the tier selected at booking.
Inawashiro Ski Resort Minero is accessible via shuttle services running from JR Inawashiro Station during major festival days. JR Inawashiro Station can be reached easily via the JR Ban-etsu West Line connecting from Koriyama Station on the Tohoku Shinkansen line.
An order is made up of the face-value ticket price, the cost of the domestic platforms used to purchase the ticket, and a service fee for our sourcing and delivery handling. Because every event and order varies, please contact us for a comprehensive quote for your specific itinerary.
The concert portions—particularly the 2-day passes for Kaze to Rock Imoni-kai—frequently sell out in advance due to limited venue capacities and strong regional fan bases. Early enquiry is strongly recommended to secure live music access.
