Faqs:

Is a memory card included with this camera rental?

No, a memory card is not included, but the camera has a generous 64GB built-in memory. This is enough for over one hour of 4K video. However, you can supply your own compatible SDXC/SDHC card for extended recording.

How do I ensure my videos are stable, even without a tripod?

The camera is equipped with “spatial optical image stabilization,” which is highly effective. It physically moves the entire lens unit to compensate for camera shake, providing remarkably smooth and stable footage, even when you are walking.

Can I use this camcorder for night photography or video in dark areas?

No, this model does not feature a dedicated night shot mode. While the Exmor R sensor performs well in low light, for very dark conditions, you should rely on standard recording at low lux settings rather than a specialized night mode.

What application do I need to connect the camera to my smartphone?

To use the Wi-Fi and NFC functions for transferring files or remote operation, you must install the “PlayMemories Mobile” app on your smartphone or tablet beforehand, available from Google Play or the App Store.

Is there a limit to how long I can continuously record a single video clip?

Yes, regardless of the recording mode you choose, the maximum continuous recording time for any single video is approximately 12 hours, at which point the camera will pause recording.
