Step into the peaceful world of Japanese tea culture at Wasako’s Japanese-style room, just steps away from Asakusa Station. This 60-minute experience is designed for visitors who want to enjoy a genuine taste of Japanese tradition in a relaxed and welcoming setting.

Choose whether you’d like to sit on tatami mats or chairs—comfort is key. As calming sounds of nature play softly in the background, you’ll be invited to select from a variety of seasonal Japanese sweets, beautifully designed to complement the tea.

You’ll also choose your matcha bowl, each with unique designs and meanings. Your host will explain the significance of the tea utensils, hanging scrolls, and the room’s seasonal decorations to deepen your appreciation.

Enjoy a demonstration of the tea ceremony, observing the precise, meditative movements of the host. Then, it’s your turn—you’ll be guided step by step through making your own matcha, using the tools provided.
