Faqs:

What is Dual Pixel CMOS AF and how does it help me during my trip?

Dual Pixel CMOS AF is Canon’s autofocus technology for Live View and video shooting. It makes focusing extremely fast and smooth, almost identical to how a camcorder works, ensuring your travel videos are always in sharp focus without distracting hunting.

Is the included 18-135mm lens a good choice for tourists who want versatility?

Absolutely. The 18-135mm range covers wide-angle needs (cityscapes, interiors) all the way to telephoto reach (distant landmarks). This broad range means you rarely need to change lenses, keeping your gear light and minimizing exposure to dust while touring across Japan.

Can I record high-quality video for my travel vlog using this camera?

Yes, the EOS 80D can record Full HD video at up to 60p, which is great for capturing smooth action. It also includes professional features like a headphone jack for audio monitoring and the quiet Nano USM motor on the lens, which improves the quality of recorded audio and video.

Does the camera allow me to easily share photos while I’m traveling in Japan?

Yes, the Canon EOS 80D is equipped with both Wi-Fi and NFC connectivity. By using the Canon Camera Connect app on your smartphone, you can easily connect the camera to transfer photos wirelessly and quickly share them with friends and family during your trip.

How many AF points are available when I use the optical viewfinder?

When using the optical viewfinder, the EOS 80D utilizes a high-performance, dedicated sensor with 45 autofocus points, all of which are cross-type. This provides excellent coverage and precision, helping you lock focus on moving subjects quickly in a wide variety of shooting conditions.
