Faqs:

Why should I rent the EOS R7 body if I already have lenses?

The R7 offers features essential for travel like In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS), Dual UHS-II card slots for backup security, and a 32.5MP sensor for high detail, all of which may be upgrades from your current body. It pairs perfectly with your existing RF or adapted EF lenses.

Does the EOS R7’s In-Body Image Stabilization (IBIS) work with non-stabilized lenses?

Yes, the EOS R7’s IBIS works with any attached lens (RF, RF-S, or adapted EF/EF-S) to provide shake correction. With a compatible stabilized RF lens, the camera can achieve an impressive 8.0 stops of coordinated image stabilization.

What makes the EOS R7 good for tracking fast-moving subjects like the Shinkansen (Bullet Train)?

The R7 uses the advanced Dual Pixel CMOS AF II with deep learning technology (EOS iTR AF X) to reliably detect and track fast subjects like vehicles, animals, and people. Paired with its exceptional 30 fps electronic shutter speed, you can capture action perfectly.

Can I record professional-quality video on the EOS R7?

Yes. The R7 oversamples its 4K video from 7K data, resulting in incredibly sharp footage. It also offers professional recording modes like HDR PQ and Canon Log 3 (10-bit), which provides more dynamic range and color grading flexibility.

Is the dual card slot feature important for tourists?

Yes, the dual card slots allow you to write copies of your images to both cards simultaneously (backup recording). This is crucial for protecting irreplaceable travel photos and videos against card failure or corruption while you are abroad.
