Full Description
Begin your day at Momoka Kimono Rental, located in the heart of Kyoto’s historic Gion district. Upon arrival, staff will assist you through the entire process—from selecting your favorite kimono or yukata to completing your look with matching accessories and optional hairstyling or makeup.
The full process, including dressing and styling, takes about 45 minutes. Once dressed, you’re free to explore Kyoto until 5:00 PM, when rentals must be returned. Complimentary luggage storage is provided, allowing you to explore comfortably.
Experience Flow:
- Arrival and reception
- Kimono selection
- Dressing in kimono
- Hairstyling (optional)
- Explore and enjoy your day
- Return and change out of kimono by 5:00 PM
Please note:
- The photography and makeup options must be booked at least one week in advance.
- Wearing a kimono during pregnancy is strictly prohibited for health and safety reasons.
- A late return fee of ¥1,100 per 30 minutes applies after 5:00 PM.
- Items returned after business hours will incur next-day charges and possible loss of deposit.
- A deposit of ¥10,000 (¥50,000 for furisode) is required for overnight returns.
Damage Policy: If any damage occurs to the kimono or accessories, a repair fee will be charged. Optional insurance (¥550) is available and recommended.
Important Notes
- Adult kimono selection may be limited for hip sizes over 130 cm
- Children’s kimono available for ages over 70 cm tall and up to 12 years old
- Arrive on time. Being more than 20 minutes late will result in your reservation being canceled
- No refunds for cancellations made within 7 days of booking
