Your evening begins in the nostalgic streets of Shinsekai, one of Osaka’s most character-filled districts. Often overlooked by visitors, this area blends old-world charm with buzzing street life. Your local guide will lead you through five specially selected eateries known for their authenticity and flavor.
Start at a kushikatsu restaurant, where skewered and fried meats and vegetables are served golden and crispy. Pair them with a drink and the area’s signature doteyaki—beef tendon simmered in sweet miso.
Continue with bold-flavored karaage (Japanese-style fried chicken) and roasted garlic cloves, followed by a visit to a renowned takoyaki vendor where you’ll enjoy Osaka’s iconic grilled octopus balls with your choice of toppings.
