What to Expect

Miyama Gassho Village

Located in Nantan City, this village is known for its traditional Gassho-style thatched-roof houses—one of only three such places in Japan. Surrounded by lush countryside and peaceful mountain scenery, Miyama offers an authentic glimpse into rural Japanese life, where traditional architecture and farming culture remain alive.

Amanohashidate – One of Japan’s Three Scenic Views

This natural wonder is a 3.6-kilometer sandbar covered with approximately 8,000 pine trees, connecting both sides of Miyazu Bay. The view from above is famously likened to a “bridge to heaven.” It is one of Japan’s top three scenic spots, alongside Matsushima and Miyajima.

Notice:
From June 2 to June 11, 2025, Kasamatsu Park will be closed for maintenance. During this period, the viewpoint will be changed to Amanohashidate View Land. Thank you for your understanding.

Ine Town (Ine Funaya)

Ine is a picturesque fishing village along Ine Bay, featuring “funaya” (boat houses) built right on the waterfront. The village stretches for 5 kilometers along the coast and is renowned for its serene beauty, traditional wooden architecture, and peaceful atmosphere. Recognized as one of the most beautiful villages in Japan, it offers a unique look into a lifestyle harmoniously connected with the sea.
