Your experience begins with a traditional purification ritual, offering insight into a spiritual practice rarely encountered by Western visitors. After removing your shoes at the entrance, you will enter the Grand Tearoom in a small group and be seated comfortably to begin the ceremony.
The Tea Master will guide you through the highly choreographed ritual of preparing and serving matcha, demonstrating each step with elegance and precision. You’ll also have the opportunity to whisk and enjoy your own matcha tea, gaining a deeper appreciation for the ceremonial customs and mindfulness inherent in this experience.
