Itinerary

  • 13:30 – Meet Your Guide
    Introduction and welcome by your licensed English-speaking guide.
  • 13:35 – Sumo Introduction Lecture (15 minutes)
    Learn the fundamentals of sumo, its rules, history, and key wrestlers to watch.
  • 13:50 – Walk to IG Arena (10 minutes)
  • 14:00 – Watch Tournament (1 hour 40 minutes)
    Experience the early matches and soak up the charged atmosphere of the arena.
  • 15:40 – Ceremonial Entrances (20 minutes)
    See the Makuuchi division’s entrance parade, and if present, the Yokozuna Grand Champion’s ring-entering ceremony.
  • 16:00 – Main Matches Begin (2 hours)
    Watch elite sumo wrestlers in the Makuuchi division compete, followed by the closing bow-twirling ceremony at 18:00.
