Full Description

This immersive food and culture tour begins with your guide meeting you either at Kobe Port Terminal (for cruise guests) or Sumiyoshi Station (for city visitors). From there, travel by local train to Nada Ward, Kobe’s renowned sake-producing area.

At the sake brewery museum, dive into the traditional techniques behind Japan’s national drink. Walk through historical exhibits, observe ancient brewing tools, and enjoy a guided tasting of premium sake—including the popular yuzu-infused sake.

Next, head to the city center and visit a local shop for a Kobe beef nigiri tasting. While this is not a full-course steak meal, the nigiri offers an accessible and flavorful way to experience Kobe’s most iconic food.

Stroll through Motomachi Shopping Street, where you’ll sip a refreshing fruit drink and soak in local life. Continue on foot to Meriken Park, where your guide will share stories about the 1995 Great Hanshin Earthquake and how it shaped modern Kobe.

See landmarks such as the Be Kobe Monument and the striking Kobe Port Tower, with time for photos and reflection. The tour ends here, and you may choose to stay and explore or have your guide walk you to the nearest train station.

Please note: This tour includes Kobe beef nigiri tasting only—not a full Kobe beef steak or course meal.
