Faqs

Why is 61MP resolution important for travel photography in Japan?

The 61MP resolution allows you to capture extremely fine details in architectural elements (like roof tiles or wood grain), vast mountain views, or intricate textiles. It also provides significant cropping flexibility while maintaining high image quality.

How does the AI Autofocus system benefit me as a traveler?

The AI AF system is far superior to previous models in recognizing and tracking non-human subjects like animals (monkeys, deer), birds, and fast-moving vehicles (trains, planes). This drastically increases the hit rate for sharp photos in unpredictable travel scenarios.

What is the advantage of the 4-axis multi-angle LCD monitor?

This unique monitor combines the benefits of a traditional tilting screen (preferred by photographers) and a fully articulating swivel screen (preferred by videographers/vloggers), giving you maximum flexibility for shooting from any angle, whether horizontally or vertically.

Which memory card should I use for 8K video recording?

While the included 64GB SD card is high-speed, for consistent and long 8K recording, we highly recommend renting or using a high-capacity CFexpress Type A memory card (available under recommended options) due to the extremely high data rate of 8K video.

Does the camera’s 8.0-stop IBIS really make a difference?

Yes, especially with a 61MP sensor, which amplifies any camera movement. The 8.0-stop stabilization is essential for achieving razor-sharp photos when shooting handheld at slower shutter speeds, such as during twilight or inside dimly lit traditional structures.
