Step into the world of Japanese culinary tradition with this hands-on sushi-making class at a renowned cooking studio in Kyoto. Your instructor has been teaching Kyoto-style cooking for over two decades and brings a deep knowledge of Japanese food culture.

The class is held at a cozy kitchen studio just 10 minutes from Kyoto Station and 5 minutes from Shijo Subway Station. You’ll start with a dashi tasting and a dashimaki (Japanese-style omelet) demonstration—a specialty of the hostess.

Sushi Options:

  • Nigiri Sushi – Classic hand-pressed sushi with fresh seafood
  • Chirashi Sushi – Sushi rice topped with assorted ingredients such as seafood, vegetables, and egg

Additional Dishes You’ll Learn and Enjoy:

  • Namafu Dengaku – Grilled wheat gluten with miso
  • Dashi Soup – Umami-rich broth
  • Mitarashi Dango – Sweet rice dumplings served for dessert
